I was born and raised in Nicosia, Cyprus. My first language was movement and music — playing piano, training in rhythmic gymnastics, and later studying ballet, contemporary, and jazz.
Eventually, I came to the United States to pursue my dreams as a dancer. But I didn't fit into the traditional path. I always felt pulled toward something different, something I couldn’t quite name yet.
Meeting my husband and creative partner, Ibrahim Perez, opened the door to storytelling through the camera. We embarked on our first silent dance feature, Calico. In that process, I found myself stepping into producing — learning development, communication, and everything it takes to bring a film to life. It became my film school.
Hearing people say they wished we had spoken in that first film, encouraged me to explore acting. With my performing background, acting felt like the missing piece — a way to express characters fully through both body and voice.
That journey gave me the realization that I could create my own path — to be a dancer and an actor on camera, produce my own work instead of waiting for approval, and hopefully inspire others to follow what’s unique about them instead of trying to fit in.
As we began making our first “talkies,” sound became a crucial part of our process. That led me deeper into the world of audio, and I found myself working as a production sound mixer. In a way, it made perfect sense — sound and music have always been what move me.
I’m a dancer turned actor and filmmaker, telling stories through movement, performance, and sound. And I love creating stories that move people — in every sense of the word.
